A loving home just what we needed
My brother spent the last almost 2 years of his life here, and this place felt like home to him. With 24-hours of care and services this place is the best, He was wheelchair bound and in his last few weeks of life bed-bound, and this place took great care of him. They are highly attentive around the clock. I picked this community over other places, because I had better chemistry with the owner. They offer activities such as; Reading, movies, and games..

A very caring place
My mother was experiencing progressive dementia and needed constant care. The owner of this home when my mother first arrived was very nice and caring and I was happy to have my mother in her care. The facility was sold and the new owner,
is even more wonderful than the previous owner--I feel so lucky. Every time I went to visit my mother the facility was spotlessly clean and smelled fresh (so many facilities don't). Even though my mother had become combative, would curse, bite and claw at the care takers, they were patient and nurturing. They were also extremely helpful when I needed to get mom into my car to take her places. [name removed] frequently did special things for the residents--birthday parties, holiday celebrations and the like. She always kept me informed as to what was going on with my mother. At the end she helped me find a Hospice nurse for my mother so that she would not have to go to a hospital. I am grateful that I found such a lovely place for my mother.

This is the first Adult Family Home we visited. Did not care for the location. The home seemed a little outdated and don’t think it would be a good fit for our mother. [Name removed] was wonderful and shared a lot of insightful information with us which we very much appreciated.

Place We Were Looking For
We were looking for a place for my father who has significant care challenges following a stroke that reduced his mobility and speech capabilities.
After 14 years of "independent living" and one year of "assisted living", it was now time to consider a place that offered more round the clock care for him.
Adult family homes have an efficient care model with usually two care-givers to five or six residents.
Creative Care at NE 100th has that and the following outstanding qualities:
1. Nice, clean rooms with enough size for watching TV when family members come over;
2. Friendly care staff that make family members feel totally welcome.
3. A couple of very friendly little dogs that provide a lot of enjoyment for the residents.
4. Patient and hard-working care staff that provide all of the support my father needs for food, medications, mobility, sleep, and incontinence issues.
5. Very convenient and quiet location nestled at the end of a spur off of NE 110th St. with just a 3 minute walk to the bus stop off of busy Lake City Way or a 5 minute walk to Nathan Hale high school and playfields.
In the end, its all about the people. Creative Care staff have made the transition for my father and my family easy and enjoyable. Although it has only been five weeks, we see this as his permanent home and would highly recommend this adult family home for others.

Very pleasant home environment with four generations involved. The room we saw was a nice size. Hallway would have been a bit confusing for my mom. Cute dog in the home.
