We really like the staff team at the Torrey Pines Senior Living community.
However, the response to our parents' pressing their buttons needs to be quicker - that is an improvement they could work on.

Great facility
My relative lives at Torrey Pines Assisted & Senior Living, and we are quite happy with the care the staff has provided for our loved ones. They are all performing really well. They are really professional, considerate, educated, and considerate of them. I wholeheartedly recommend this facility to anybody in need of tender loving care throughout their skilled nursing requirements, as well as [removed], where my other relatives reside.

Caring and engaging community
I recently attended an Alzheimer’s fundraiser here and it was the most wholesome evening I’ve had in a long time. What a pleasure it was to see such happy residents and witness how the staff is so caring and engaged with them. I was impressed by how cheerful this community is and it’s all a reflection of the positive and loving employees.

My tour review
I had a very good experience during the first tour. I went to a bbq that I was invited to and they would not let me in due to my vaccination card and since we did not have it they had no flexibility to let us in and this did not sit right with me. We should have had a heads up that the card was needed.

Tour of Torrey Pines
The staff were nice but the facility itself looked run down. The rooms were extremely small, you could only fit one single bed in there. It was also more expensive than some other places we looked into.

Horribly understaffed
I do not have experience with the facility after it was rebranded in [date removed]. Prior to rebranding, it was severely understaffed with dishonest administrators. Some of the individual care givers are excellent, but they have many more residents than they can handle, and the attitude of the managers is one of hostility.
They care only about profits snd not at all about the care of the residents.

The community interviews you first then tell you how much it costs. The food was not good at all and they had issues with meds not being given. Due to this, he ended up in the hospital 3 times. I would not recommend this community to others. The community lost items also including his glasses.
