Schererville Review","reviewContent":"Clarendale was bought out by StoryPoint and the transition has not been great. They have gone through 2 directors of nursing in (less than?) 6 months...and staffing issues, which I expected in the beginning. It is hard to find staff...the job is difficult and CNA's are terribly underpaid across the board.\n\nThere is very little consistency with the aides/caregivers who are looking over my mom in memory care. I feel like I'm beating my head against the wall, having to go over her needs every time I visit...with someone I've never met before. That said, I truly believe that they are really trying to get it right.\n\nIn two cases, I was not been able to find someone to let me out of her living space (it is locked, of course, because it is memory care)...once it was 1/2 hr before an aide appeared. I could not find a nurse either.The 2nd time, I had to call the front desk to have someone come and let me out.\n\nTwo weeks ago the Nurse Practitioner ordered a urine test to check for UTI...a week later I emailed the NP to find out the results only to find out that the test was never done. I tried to find out where it fell apart but I was not privy to how it happened.\n\nI have not brought this all to the attention of the memory care director, [name removed]...though, I have spoken to him about my concerns about nursing and staffing issues and inconsistencies. I hesitated to tell him about being locked in the space and the urine test because I think they were just flukes. I did speak to the NP about the urine test that did not get done. I should let him know, though.\n\nOn a good note, housekeeping has been doing a very good job of keeping my mom's room clean. She tends to be a hoarder, so they keep an eye on her room.\n\nAlso, the Activity Team for memory care could not be better!!
