A Nice Place to Be.

It's a nice memory care unit. Most the caregivers and nurses are nice. I understand it's not an easy job and their short staffed sometimes and their doing what they can, would just like to see more interaction between the caregivers and the residents. I just personally think a few of the caregivers could use a brush up coarse on listening to my loved one or at least try and figure out what they might be trying to say. Meals are good with dessert after, juice or milk. They are almost done with a remodel, took out carpet put in hardwoods in the halls and dinning room, residents rooms are carpet, new paint (except patients rooms) it looks very nice. They do more activities with the assisted living side. In my opinion there's not enough activities. I feel they need that stimulation to keep their brains as active as possible, like when summer comes taking them outside into the courtyard it is fenced in. Also, they do have a nice outside area with tables chairs lots of flowers and greenery.

Count the cost

It is expensive and the family needs to provide toiletries and depends if needed. They will call an ambulance at the drop of a hat and you may have ambulance bill. Says it is all inclusive, but that is not 100% true.

My tour review

This community was nice but too big for what we were looking for for our loved one. We wanted something smaller where my loved one could get more attention. The tour guide provided a lot of information and had a lot of knowledge about the community.

Our Tour Experience

Overall I thought The Lakes at Banning was very nice. It was clean and all of those things. The people were very nice. For my personal taste, it was kind of dark in there with the furnishings and things. So it just didn't appeal to me. We didn't get to try the food here, but having moved into a different community, I would recommend that anywhere you go you try the actual food the residents are being served, if you can.

My Review of Patriots Glen

The staff here seemed to better than another community. It is an older community with very professional staff. The buy-in fee was good for us. The monthly fee was higher than we wanted. They do have a nursing staff and doctor available 24 hours 7 days a week. Advanced care would be good to consider here.

Patriots is a good community for your loved

Our loved one seems t o be enjoying the community, and the care services seem to be okay. They did have a couple of COVID outbreaks, but they handled it well. We do know they have started to offer more activities lately.

Great Community

My loved one used to live at Patriot's Landing, and it is a great community. I feel that they have a good ratio between residents and staff members, so everyone is able to get the attention they need. The food is good, and they also offer a lot of activities. This is an excellent community, and I would recommend it to others.

So far so good

While looking into places for my father, this is one of the locations that we are pleased with so far. The staff is doing an adequate job with the needs that he needs and it was a smaller facility so it wasn’t so overwhelming. Even the other residents there are friendly and personable which I didn’t think would be an issue. Sometimes you see a person sitting by their selves eating at a table that sits four people, you could walk up to them and invite yourself to join. It’s a very “smile and handshake” atmosphere, considering the generation that is living there. The staff also does a good job keeping everything nice and clean. They clean his unit once a week. The whole staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and seems to know what they’re doing. From the short time that we have been there, it’s been so far so good.

A Responsive and Caring Staff

Patriot's Glen has proven very accessible and flexible. Each time we've called with concerns, they've been very responsive. They've been very patient while our family gets up the learning curve on how best to attend to my father-in-law's needs. They've also been a great sounding board during those rare times when the administration of having a loved one in assisted living becomes too complicated. My only critique has been that their staff is not very responsive via email. I've found that discussions on the phone are the most effective. I've also found that I must be proactive in his care needs, and ask questions when things aren't always clear to me. Reassuringly, they respond quickly and have excellent records that give me the comfort that his care needs are being addressed. Lastly, the activities director does a great job at engaging my reclusive father-in-law in activities he otherwise wouldn't participate in.

Review of Patriots Landing Alzheimer's / Memory Care in DuPont, WA

Close to what my father considers important; medical/Rx at Madigan, and proximity to his physicians/specs, and GHC, and his family and friends. We are hoping that we can get my father's medical transfer info, care evaluation, and any help on applying for VA A&A for veterans. But we witnessed all treated well, welcoming, smiles, good and solid info from facility, so far. My father was at ease in this place. Process not yet completed.

The facility is beautiful and so are ...

The facility is beautiful and so are the surroundings. Visually, this facility looks a bit like a castle. My mom will still feel like she's a "princess". There are a great deal of activities and variety of choices throughout the facility to interact but it will be up to mom to interact i.e. large dining area (restaurant style) smaller dining area for quieter and more intimate visits, billard room, media room, pool and exercise room, hair salon with manicures and pedicures and bistro/bar. Children and grandchildren are always welcome for visits and are welcome to accompany the resident in any of the areas within the facility. There are rooms set apart for family functions that are included in her monthly charge. Very interactive staff and rooms are very spacious. The assisted living apartments are beautiful and spacious with everything that would provide a "home" look. The Memory Care is all one functional and spacious room with a full bathroom. One issue that came up was that they have never had to deal with a smoker. It was decided that an attendant will hold her cigarette so she will have to pick up her cigarette so she will be directed to an appropriate smoking area.

Higher End Property

This community was nice but I felt it was on the higher end than what we were looking for. As we were walking around and listening and observing the residents I got the feeling that most of them were somehow connected to the military whether they were retired from a branch or the service or what not. I just got the feeling that the overall residents would not have been a good match for my mom. However, the community itself was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Great facilities, but an increase of dedicated staff needed.

he rooms are spacious, and the facility is nice. It is important to have the facility conveniently located so that family can make frequent visits. Getting to know the staff is important to making sure loved ones get the best care. I believe there are staff shortages throughout the industry. Research is important to make sure the facility can and will at least hire help from a staffing registry when needed.

My review of The Lakes at Banning

Our family had an in person tour, and the experience was okay. We felt like the memory care section was a little more hospital like. It did not have that homey, warm, and welcoming feeling to it.

Could have more information!!

The lady that gave my loved one and I a tour of there community was very friendly and was on time to our appointment. I was just a little disappointed in the lack of knowledge that she had on the pricing and different package deals. We would have had to wait for another person to contact us and we just did not have that kind of time.
