Specialized Community Healthcare

I'm glad that I chose a group home for my wife with Alzheimer's. There are no more than 6 patients at one time and with my wife's confusion I felt it best for her to be in a facility with less residents. When you have stage 6 Alzheimer's, why be placed in a memory care facility at additional costs when you have no memory. I would recommend this community to other families. It is a simple, California bungalow which was the same style home my wife was raised in.

We moved our mom to Bentley Manor with much trepidation. We were afraid she would have a melt down during the move. Just the opposite happened. She was very relaxed, and she likes it at Bentley Manor. She likes being among other people. My brother and I both feel that she is getting very good care from the staff, and Roze Room Hospice is great about communicating with us.

Kaego's Richman Gardens is a great solution for families that need help / relief from the stress of caring for a loved one with a very limited budget.

It a nice place and very quiet. It is a smaller community which provides more personal care. The staff are very friendly, nice and easy to get a long with. The food looks like it is decent enough for my loved one.

Our love done moved in right before COVID, so we have not been able to visit for awhile, but we do know our loved one is happy there. Sometimes it is a little hard for us to get a hold of the staff. When we were able to go visit, this community appeared seemed very clean, and looked to be running well. The care givers are very sweet, nice and accommodating. They do play bingo and other games at this facility. Our loved one is able to interact with so many residents and is very engaged.

We lost mom very shortly after she moved in here but her 3 weeks here were perfect. The staff was wonderful very kind and compassionate. The everyone acted very professional and dressed accordingly. The building was always clean and well maintained. We have already recommended this community to a few different people. We want to thank everyone who made my moms stay there comfortable.

The friendliness of the staff is great. Mom moved in November 1 and the smoke detectors low battery indicator has been going off since. I have talked to the administration and I think they are going to fix it .

It's a small place, a home. It's the first one we went to. It was very nice. When I was there, there were two caregivers helping the people which is fine. The one in charge was very nice. It's a place I would have considered for my dad but there were not openings.

When we toured this community for my father, the person who gave us the tour seemed more concerned about the business aspect than anything. It was in a great location, on the higher end with standard rooms. The thing that turned us off from them is that the lady who gave us the tour asked us about our finances before we were even able to see the rooms. She went straight to the prices. We decided to do a different route.

My husband is currently staying at Bentley Manor and he has mixed emotions about it. My husband walks a lot and tries to keep himself active and engaged. They do not have a lot of activities since it is mainly for Alzheimers patients.

When I visited, the person who was supposed to show me around had left, so one of the Caregiver/Managers showed me around. Their facility was clean, and quiet, but I felt like it was too quiet for my loved one. They didn't have a single room open at the time we visited. They had me visit their other six room property nearby, that did have a single open, was nicer, but still a little quiet for my loved one. Their residents seemed to be a little withdrawn due to their conditions. Also, the monthly fee was considerably higher than I expected.

I chose this community because medication management was included. Also, I liked the environment because it is a historical building. It has a big yard with a lot of fruit trees and flowers. The caregivers are excellent and very caring. They really like my loved one and they take good care of my loved one. The only issue I have had is in the change over of executive staff which caused additional turnover and affected the staffs and residents stability.

I had the opportunity to visit this facility/house as an option for my father-in-law. I found it surprisingly quiet given its location next to a busy street. Based on the description I was expecting residence who were somewhat self-sufficient but instead found the residents to be in advanced stages of needing assistance. The staff was knowledgeable in daily care of the residence and seemed to attend to them with care. Unfortunately they only had a shared room available when I was looking.

I went on a tour here and it was nice. The staff answered all my questions. This was a smaller community, I saw a small room that was right next to the dining area. It would be hard to move around here for my husband. The outside could've been nicer. I would recommend families to tour this place before making a decision.

I toured this community for my mom's care. The staff were helpful and answered the questions we had on care They might want to consider make the community a little brighter for the residents. They had a nice menu that would be available. I did not feel that this community would be a nice atmosphere. Families might want to tour this community for a loved one.

We toured here when we were looking. My wife didn't like the fact that they had hospital beds. It wasn't the right fit for us.

We had somewhat of a mixed experience with Bentley Manor. The caregivers who work here were very friendly and good to my loved one, but I don't feel like the facility was really set up well for a person who was 100% there mentally. The food was very bland (and for some reason had a sharp decline in quality over the course of her stay). They also didn't seem to do much in terms of helping her recover physically, they just let her stay in her chair all day.

We had a video tour, which I didn’t like. We didn’t seem to get a full view of the internal workings. I just didn’t care for it here. They were limited in the length of time our loved one could stay. And it was kind of a large building with multiple floors. It just wasn't the right place for us.

Went by to schedule a tour. Series of phone calls were disorganized and poor response time. Looks quite small. Looks more like a board and care, we need more stimulation. Geographically far and not freeway close.
