Bedrock at Home

I had to use this agency for a couple of days to watch my mom. My brother and daughter were still at home to see how the care went. They said the experience and care went fine. The caretakers seemed to be respectful. 3 out of 4 caretakers were good help. We would use the services again from this agency.

My Mother in law did not feel she needed this service and we are no longer using them. There was also an issue of the caregiver not following through on what we asked of them. When we set up the service they said they would work with her on her memory, however this was not the case. Once a week they would take her to the store but the other 2 days they did nothing to assist her with her memory.

Nicole [removed] was very helpful and responsive. The nurse was also responsive and understanding and had good communication when the aide called out sick. We wish the aide had more training, though, which the home care agency prided themselves upon. The aide was very friendly and helpful, which we really appreciated. We really liked his personality, and he was quick to help. But the aide also did something in caring for my dad that the nurse later said should never be done and that she would discuss it with him. Another thing we were very concerned about was that my dad had a swallowing problem, and on 2 occasions my dad was fed and given a drink while lying down flat. My dad had the ability to sit in a chair and do this, so this was a bit disconcerting.

The Monthly Cost below = 20 days @ $960.00 per week. Initially service was well satisfied. Home care allowed me to do things I needed to do during the week, knowing my wife was cared for, and she was satisfied. The service lasted for 11 weeks during the COVID era. As time went on seems the caregiver was being very tired, dozing off and even lying on the floor, while being awake. I said nothing because if called or needed she was readily attentive. At some point she needed time for an appointment, this or that, etc. The last two weeks (9 days) there were six different caregivers in this home. One seemed sickly. My wife developed severe coughing. The doctor tested her for COVID, she was positive, our daughter and I were positive. We suspected one of the six was a carrier of COVID, it had to be. My wife was hospitalized, subsequently passed away and became a political statistic. PLEASE MAKE HEALTHY CHANGES!!

I don't have much good to say about my experience with this company. The care givers only came on time once when they showed up at all, he would have been better off alone, and the price was way high for the service given.

NEVER NEVER EVER WOULD WE USE THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! 3 different aides came in the 4 day period we used them and they were all TERRIBLE. One of them was stanidng next to my 82 yr old mother as she laid UNCONSCIOUS on the living room couch. It was lucky that I came home to see it. When I asked the aide why she didn't call me she said "I didn't want to bother you". In the meantime my mother -a diabetic- could have fell into a comma and DIED! THANS FOR NOTHING!! PS- I asked the billing/accounting deptartment to send me a monthly statement so I could pay the bill in installments. However, they failed to do so one month & I missed the payment then received a NASTY, THREATENING, and FILTHY mail from the Business Manaager [name removed] to which I demanded an apology ... STILL WAITING 16 MONTHS LATER...

I would NOT recommend Spring Hills Home Care. Our experience with them was not good at all. The caregiver they said they would send out never arrived, and they still attempted to charge us for the service. Avoid them.
