They did very well in a lot of areas at the Village At Alameda and added some veteran recognition and did some other new things because they had a new activities director and she seemed to be pretty innovative.

Respectful, caring staff

We're very pleased with how things have turned out at Autumn Leaves! This is the first place I've found where I feel like the staff really "gets" dementia care. They treat the residents with a lot of respect, and they know how to calm down or redirect residents if they get upset. And not only do they provide a lot of support for the residents, they really provide support for their families as well! I really can't say enough good things about them, I highly recommend them!

So far I am very happy with Autumn Leaves of Rockwall. It's clean and the staff is friendly. There don't seem to be any complaints about food, in fact he was losing weight at the old place and seems to be gaining here.

enjoyable, engaged, great place

Yesterday they had a barbecue for all the members and an Easter egg hunt for kids. Everyone had a really good time. That was one recent example of things that they do to go out of the way to make special moments and make the stay there enjoyable. The food is excellent! They are extra thoughtful. They take the residents out on outings to places like botanical gardens and other places. Any time you have a request, they do everything they can to accommodate you. I would certainly say if there was something to criticize, but I have not found anything. They have really been great!

I cannot say enough good about Autumn Leaves.

I cannot say enough good about Autumn Leaves. I moved both of my parents here when it was determined that they require memory care. It is a very nice place, and their pricing structure is great. The staff has been incredible. They have been educating us on how to relate with Mom and Dad in order to minimize their anxiety about making the adjustment. They have done an exceptionally good job of taking care of my parents and making them comfortable. I gave them a 4 rather than 5 on activities simply because I don't have enough to go by yet. The 4 on cleanliness is because I consider a 5 to be unoccupied. Overall, I rate them at 5. I feel very fortunate to have been able to find Autumn Leaves for them.

Nice looking memory care facility!

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for a loved one. This was a very nice looking place, but I don't think it would have been a good fit for Mom. Mom is pretty high functioning, and most of the residents here had advanced dementia/memory issues. But it did seem like a very nice place for those in need of that level of care!

It's very clean, and the staff is wonderful.

It's very clean, and the staff is wonderful. I looked at a lot of different places, and they are right in line with everyone else, pretty competitive for pricing. They are very attentive and responsive. They have activity people during the day to help people with everything. There are definitely more ladies than men here. They are really good with medications, and monitoring that. I have eaten with him, and I wasn't impressed, it was kind of bland. Overall the food is adequate, but it's nothing to write home about. I think it's been a pretty good experience.

Autumn Leaves of Arlington TX

I visited several memory care facilities in Arlington TX and chose Autumn Leaves. The ratio of residents to care givers is good and care givers are so good to my loved one there. Placing my loved one in a memory care center was THE HARDEST decision I have ever had to make. The staff at Autumn Leaves of Arlington walked me through everything and was right there with me for everything. My loved one has been there about 1-1/2 years and I'm still so pleased I found Autumn Leaves. They take excellent care of my loved one.

Top Notch!

They’re top notch! They were very caring and they took care of my parents very well. I ate there several times and it was usually pretty good, but there were occasions where it wasn’t as good, but it was never bad. It’s a great environment with good staff.

I’m thrilled with the place.

It is immaculate. I want to give them five, five, five, fives all the way down. I really appreciate the way they care for the residents. They treat them respectfully. They go out of their way to reassure them. They don’t argue with them, bug comfort them. I’m thrilled with the place. I’ve been there several times and the food looked wonderful. It’s all home cooked. There is a hair stylist in there! My mother is dressed every day!

Caring Staff

The staff here is very caring and patient. The nurses are attentive and do whatever they can to make sure that the residents receive any needed medical or dental care. The office staff goes above and beyond to stay in contact with family members and let them know if your loved one needs anything. They have an excellent geriatrician that visits regularly, a podiatrist comes quarterly, and a dentist will also come to the facility to treat the residents. The food is very good, and the caregivers make sure that the residents are clean and bathed.

Very nice looking place!

This community was very nice looking! It was beautiful, and everyone we spoke with during our tour was very friendly. Unfortunately it was out of the price range that we were looking in, but I did recommend it to a friend who ended up placing their loved one here.

Warm and Friendly

I love that it is a community. It's a small facility so the staff knows all the residents and it's very warm and friendly. She is has her own apartment but she uses assistance for various things like bathing and meals. She has a refrigerator and a sink but all the cooking is done in the main kitchen. My mom love the food! She doesn't really use the activities, but they have many. They have painting, bingo, exercise, etc.

Really liked the nurse who gave us a tour

We looked at this one and this one seemed pretty nice. Actually, the nurse that took us around, it was a guy and he really seemed to care and he really seemed to know and we liked the way he interacted with the people there. In an Alzheimer's unit that's got to be one of the hardest things but there were people coming up to him and knew his name; so he seemed very helpful and very caring. It seemed to be a clean place, he answered my questions and had good responses.
